Founding partner of Grupo Xcaret
Architect Carlos Constandse Madrazo, was born in Mexico City, on September 21, 1947. His academic preparation is carried out at the German School, the Mexico Institute, the Mexico University Center, and studies architecture at the Ibero-American University.
He arrived in Cancun in 1974 together with his family and participated as a founding partner of the RITCO Group, coordinating predominantly tourist projects and works. It also participates as a founding partner of the Palace Resorts Group, coordinating the architectural project, the construction and the hotel operation of the Cancun Beach Club, Cancun Palace and Sun Palace hotels.
Since 1988, he has been a founding partner of Grupo Xcaret, operator of the Xcaret, Xplor, Xel-Há, Xenotes, Xoximilco, Xenses, Xavage, Xichen, Destino Xcaret, Hotel Xcaret México and Grupo Delphinus Parks, attractions that receive more than four million visitors a year.
He is currently part of the Board of Directors of the Hotel Association of the Riviera Maya. He participates in the Cancun and Isla Mujeres Security and Justice Table as Coordinator of the Police Dignification Committee. He is a Permanent Director of the Caribbean Business Coordinating Council, participates as a member of the State Council of Nacional Financiera. He is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Universidad La Salle de Cancún as well as being a member of the Board of Directors of the Universidad del Caribe. He serves as President of the State Council of the Mexican Red Cross in Quintana Roo, he is a National Councilor, as well as President of the Local Council of the Cancun Delegation of the same institution.
He is President of the Ecopark Cancún, A.C. Board of Trustees. that coordinates the development of a free public park in Cancun, for the benefit of the entire population of the city, on 243 hectares.
Because the municipalities of Solidaridad, Puerto Morelos, Benito Juárez and Isla Mujeres are conurbed, it is currently carrying out the analysis of infrastructure projects that must be carried out jointly between these municipalities, such as the study of quality, use and destination of the water from the water table, residual waste, mobility and construction regulations.
