He holds a Master's Degree in Management and Management of Watersheds from the Tropical Agronomic Research and Teaching Center (CATIE) Turrialba, Costa Rica. Engineer.
Agronomist graduated from the National Agricultural University (UNA) and Certificate in Small Business Development from "San Antonio Texas University" and in Green Technology Development from the "Green Technology Center" in Seoul, South Korea.
His professional experience exceeds 30 years in the field of environment, energy and agriculture, standing out as Municipal Advisor on environmental issues and development of economic valuation of water and evaluation of the environmental area in the Municipalities of Comayagua, La Paz, Ojojona and Santa Ana; Head of the Department of Social Action in the Municipal Mayor's Office of the Central District (A.M.D.C), General Director of Environmental Management (DGA), dependency of the Secretariat of Natural Resources, Environment and Mines of the Republic of Honduras; Undersecretary of Natural Resources and Energy, during the years 2013 to 2018 and current Secretary of State in the Offices of Natural Resources and Environment (MiAmbiente +).
During his tenures, he has achieved important achievements in environmental matters, for the development of the country, among which stand out the access, via competition, for Honduras to be integrated as a Member of the Countries of the Pilot Program of Climate Resilience (PPCR for its acronym in English), in a tough competition between 100 countries, of which only eight were selected, including Honduras; The donation is granted by the Climate Investment Fund, to create a portfolio of projects focused on the country's climate resilience, which will allow access to the Green Climate Fund.
