Mexican, originally from Agua Dulce, Veracruz, and with 26 years of experience working in tourism in Calakmul, Campeche. He began his career as a guide at the Chicanná EcoVillage hotel where he discovered his passion for tourism and conservation and became a guide; He is currently President of the organization Servidores Turísticos de la Región de Xpujil y Calakmul S.C. and Representative of the Network of the State Council of Rural Tourism of Campeche.
He has collaborated with a large number of institutions supporting research work for the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas, the Global Enviroment Facility (GEF), OXFAM Belgium, Pronatura Peninsula de Yucatán and many others. He has guided journalists, radio and television reporters, columnists of national and foreign magazines and diplomats through the Mayan Forest.
